She Said What?!?
Happy New Year!!! I already know some of you have started '05 off with a bang. If you haven't, shame on you. I, for sure, had an interesting one. At the last minute (literally, about 2pm New Year's Eve), Julie and I decided to hop in the car and drive off to Tunica for a VIP party (turned out it was for the high rollers of the casino) that some friends of ours were playing at. Tunica, you ask? We thought the same thing, however, it seemed a good excuse as any to spice things up a bit.
A few hours later...
Had we waited in the ridiculously long line of ticketholders, of which we were not, we would've missed the midnight celebration. So, after successfully making friends with the nice event manager guy, we ended up surrounded by mountains of sushi and shrimp, ice sculptures with cosmopolitans flowing through them and various bars throughout the room. We're talking free top shelf liquor all night along with my fave rockabilly band and a cheesy cover band playing tunes that are fun to dance to on a drunken (or should I say crunken) New Year's Eve. Aside from dodging the old man that continued to call us "lil' bitty jewels" and swear that he could dance better than us all night, it was quite the party we happened to stumble upon having only a half day notice. With a sober ride back to Memphis later that night, the festivities continued until the wee hours. We even drank a bottle of wine called Menage a Trois. Who knew? It was a fun time for all.
At any rate, you're probably wondering what the hell you're reading. Or at least why you're reading it. As one of my new years resolutions, I've decided to start a blog with a little help from my friend. I don't have an exact definition for you, but if you use it you'll learn fast. It's basically a column/forum type thing that we will post entries to hopefully a lot and then you guys, being the creative, fun, psychotic minds that I know you are, can comment or even post your own stuff. I figure the more the merrier, so get with it. They're quite addictive, if I do say so myself.
So...let me introduce to you our very own blog called She Said What?!? Don't be fooled by the name...this is not a girly gossip column...well, not on purpose anyway. It's simply an offshoot of some things that are in the works, including my very own SheSaid Records. Not that a record label and a blog have much in common, but I have some things in mind that require a bit of branding. So please read on, post on, and check back often. Welcome to the wild and crazy times of our lives.

This is great! Being an old married, I love living vicariously through your rock'n'roll lifestyle. I am also pumped about She Said Records. If you ever need a business manager, you've got my number.

I surely hope this will be fun for everyone! It's already fun for me cuz I get to ramble on about whatever I want - and those of you who know me well can vouch for that as my forte. (insert sly grin) Just stay tuned...one day their might actually be something halfway interesting up here...ya never know.
