Stella, Where Artois Thou?
Stella Artois.
My ultimate brew of choice. A Belgian brew, at that. I discovered it late last year while in Chicago. (Thank you, chernobes, for turning me on to Stella, among other things.) One can enjoy in Atlanta, Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, etc. But when in Nashville, Memphis, Knoxville or any other city in the state of Tennessee you can stop searching now. No Stella here. Quite frankly, this pisses me off.
Turns out that Stella Artois is not distributed in Tennessee due to some crazy distribution laws that we have. Flying Saucer seems to have every Belgian beer ever made...no Stella. Broadway Brewhouse has several beers, as well...still no Stella. Even liquor stores that sell all types of international liquors and brews, no Stella.
All that to say, if anyone ever sees Stella around these parts, let me know! Or, if you just feel like being a cool cat, you can get me an early birthday present and have it delivered directly to my front door by ordering via web.
Only $39.00/12-pack. I know, but still.

Look no further for the fat tire, I'm not positive on TN yet, but AR definately has it. Don't know where you're located, but you could strong arm Jill into bringing you some next time she's in Memphis.

Okay so I had a momentary lapse in intelligence in trying to post my own comment and deleted mine and Mark's. Sorry...I promise I wasn't trying to get rid of your Belgian wisdom.

hmm... Jill I so concur. I once lived in Belgium for a year. Upon departure it was brought to my attention that Belgium has over 365 different types of beer. Well let's see... the average human being understands that means one new beer per day. Seeing as how I probably came close to trying at least 150... I'd say that we should probably not do pizza and wine next time but Belgian Beer. My friend, there are plenty more where Stella came from. Love to my veggies.
