She Said She Said
She said, I know what it's like to be dead
I know what it is to be sad
And she's making me feel like I've never been born
I said who put all those things in your head
Things that make me feel that I'm mad
And you're making me feel like I've never been born
She said, you don't understand what I said
I said no, no, no, you're wrong
When I was a boy everything was right, everything was right
I said even though you know what you know
I know that I'm ready to leave
'Cause you're making me feel like I've never been born
She said, you don't understand what I said
I said no, no, no, you're wrong
When I was a boy everything was right, everything was right
I said even though you know what you know
I know that I'm ready to leave
'Cause you're making me feel like I've never been born
She said (She said)
I know what it's like to be dead (I know what it's like to be dead)
I know what it is to be sad (I know what it is to be sad)...

I have never liked that song. Where's "Happy Just to Dance With You" when you need it?

Sorry, Jorge. This is possibly one of the best Beatles songs ever.

Cha! I can name 5000 others that are better. For You Blue, You Won't See Me, She's Leaving Home, For No One, the entire White Album....so many sleeper hits, so little time.

We all know that I am one of the most hard core Beatles fans of all times. Even you can't argue that. Yes...the songs you list are great. The White Album is fab. But what you're missing from this song (besides it's obvious LSD-inspired lyrics)is the magic of the music. And yes, that includes George's undeniable guitars, as always.
Oh yeah, this is MY blog which means it can contain MY opinion. The music that speaks to ME. So step off, Theresa!
And chill, baby. There will be more Beatles songs to come, among others.

I think you should both chuck the Beatles and listen to some "Burnin' Love"!!

Ahhh...Burning Love. From the Hawaiian guy sadly trying to swoon us way back when to Bradley Dean singing about flames licking his body, or was it my body?...this song defines so much. There are no words.

I did see him waltzing down music row one time. And then bumped into him in the backseat of an old Ford Fairlane...
