So Many Shows, So Little Time

Considering that my life revolves around music, it's odd that I haven't posted any shows happening around town. Oh wait, that's because there haven't been any because the Nashville rock scene has been sucking for a while now.

That has now all changed, my friend. There's some amazing shows coming up so fast I can't keep track. Here are some highlights that any indie rock music snob (or just someone who loves going to good shows) won't want to miss:

~ Thursday, 3.31 Be Your Own Pet w/The Pink Spiders @ The Exit/In
~ Friday, 4.1 The Features @ The Exit/In
~ Friday 4.22 The Black Keys w/ The Henchmen @ Mercy Lounge

~ Saturday 4.23 The Mosquitos @ The Exit/In
~ Wednesday 5.4 The Shins @ Mercy Lounge
~ Saturday 5.14 The Raveonettes @ The Exit/In

I'll have more details and more cool shows later...stay tuned.

Looks like the Nashville we used to know and love is making a comeback. It's about freakin' time.

Off the top of my head, I'd add Fiery Furnaces on 4/16/05, if only to witness the buzz live (Be Your Own Pet opening). And Of Montreal at The End during the first week of May.

The last Ravonettes show in Nashville was exceptional. Saucy Librarian and I were both in attendance.

    Isn't tonight's Exit/In show free?

Yes, tonight's show is free so we all need to be supporting Nashville's very own punk rock. (Even though the band members are all like 5).

Be Your Own Pet got rave reviews from Rolling Stone and also put on two killer shows at SXSW.

Be Your Own Pet are quite fun to see live!

Will you be at The Features' show tomorrow? I was thinking of going.
