Tapered Pants: The Legend Lives On

If there's one fashion faux paus that I won't ever make it's the wearing of tapered pants. Whether they are polyester, corduroy, jeans or cotton, they are the ugliest and least flattering style that one could ever wear. I don't care if they become the hottest thing...you won't ever find them on this cat.

Why then, have I been seeing so many around?

Granted, it's mostly older women that I see wearing them so that explains half of it. Can't they see the problem here? They all complain about their butts and thighs being too big, yet they wear pants that accentuate that very thing. Can we say boot cut? Or a little flare? Low-rise?

The jeans/pants these days are the best thing that could have happened to fashion. When I was in high school and college I used to have to search thrift stores high and low for cool flares that didn't come up past my belly button. Now you can walk into most any clothing store and find the perfect pair.

So unless you're a Muslim woman abiding by the words of the Qur'an, there is no need to ever wear tapered pants.

Personally, I don't buy tapered pants. I can't fit them over my 2 pairs of different colored socks. I get the straight leg ones and tight roll them. It looks radical with my Hypercolor shirt.
