My Beatles & My Wine
Sometimes I forget that that those two things combined are the best stress relief ever. And that was how I spent the evening a few days back. And I loved every minute.
I might just have to buy some White Stripes vinyl action for this one.
So much so, that it inspired Jag and I to plan our first record player night in ages: popping open that bottle of wine, burning some Nag Champa Incense, sitting on the floor (or the couch, I guess, these days) and listening to old records like we did way back in the high school days (Perhaps Mr. Wooderson could relate?). Highlights include The White Album, Revolver, and...was it The Blue Album?
Later on in the evening, we'll probably bust out Peter, Paul & Mary because there's just something highly nostalgic about Don't Think Twice, It's Alright. Then good ol' Uncle Bob will sing us some Night Moves and then we'll laugh, probably cry, and reminesce about the good old days when indeed, we didn't have as much to lose.I might just have to buy some White Stripes vinyl action for this one.

I also picked up some albums at a garage sale. A little Judy Garland, some Frank, Dean, and Glenn Miller. It's my motivational cleaning music. I keep meaning to stop at Great Escape to check out the selection there. Field trip!

Guess it's time to go to Little Mexico and browse the Phonoluxe collection. Jilly, the living room is officially cleaned, the phono officially re-hooked up, so vinyl night is officially ready to commence.

Agreed on the Phonoluxe dollar bin. I decorated a huge wall in my apartment with those records. That was after I melted several into bowls for Christmas presents.
Jag, if you go up there let me know...gotta go sell my Johnny/Christina Ricci wall hanging.
