Last Minute Plans

If you like spontaneity and you can dig some good music, here are some last minute plans for you. This Saturday night (that's tomorrow), it's Miller Lite Cannery Row Revival time at the Mercy Lounge. Only five bucks! Celebrating their June release, Out-of-State Plates, Fountains of Wayne will be headlining, but you'll also be able to catch The Features, straight out of Sparta, TN. I've seen these guys play before and they know how to rock the house. Even if they blow their monitors. Also playing will be The Shazam, another Tennessee-based rock band.

Doors open at 6p. If it were me, it'd be the
Miller High Life Cannery Row Revival. But what can you do?

Check it out. Should be a good time, indoors and out.

I wasn't aware that people still liked spontaneity these days.

Dangit, I'm missing the one show under 10 bucks. If I get out early tomorrow I'll call you.

I was hanging out backstage when the Features blew the mixing board and other assorted equipment at the Exit/In. You couldn't have planned that any better. That was a great show, and they appear to have a few local appearances coming up.

I was a fan of the Features before you guys were even born.

    SHOW REVIEW:

The Features were awesome, as usual. Drew in a huge crowd. Fountains of Wayne sucked, which would explain why most of the crowd left after The Features. Adam was doing a Weird Al thing with his voice all night.

The highlight was when he busted out Billy Idol, White Wedding. But then, it wasn't as good as when we saw the real thing at the Beale Street Music Festival this past April.
