Be Your Own Punk
Dude Looks Like A Lady; Oh wait, he is.
Formed in 1999 by Kathleen Hanna of Bikini Kill, Le Tigre makes their very first Nashville appearance ever at Exit/In. So if you're in the mood for some eclectic, poppy, disco, electro-punk activism, check it out.
Word on the street is that this is quite the show. I don't necessarily consider myself a feminist, but nonetheless, good music cannot be denied. Ever since the release of This Island last fall, their major label debut, I can't stop listening. Songs like After Dark, Tell You Now, and the very punk'd rendition of the Pointer Sisters' I'm So Excited make me wanna lose control. And I just can't hide it.
To quote Matt Ingle from All The Rage:
Le Tigre pride themselves on their atypical live show - from a backdrop of assorted videos handpicked by the band to an arsenal of polished choreographed dance moves that makes the Backstreet Boys' decision to make a comeback even more regrettable.
So...tonight, Exit/In, 8p. Tickets are $16. Be there or be square.
(Otherwise, be lame and go see John Legend at Dancin' in the District for $5 at Riverfront Park.)

Great profile of you on NiT!
Just as I said there...no way you could be a computer nerd. You're too cute for that...
Me on the other hand...well, let's just say I fit the profile.
