Time Flies When You're Having Fun

Today marks five months since I've landed on the West Coast. In a way it feels like I have been here forever and that Nashville was a lifetime ago. On the other hand, it seems as though I've just arrived, and that it was just yesterday that Jag threw me my fab going away party, that Julie and I were road trippin' to Memphis, that I was slaving away working for the man in Nashville. That I visited LA to scope things out. Weird.

To celebrate, I decided to get sick again. Last week just wasn't enough. I did get into a doctor, though. Out here, finding a good doctor that takes new patients is like getting through the velvet ropes. Thank God I was referred by one of their patients. Even in the medical field here it's all who you know. So hopefully when I go tomorrow, they'll hook me up with some drugs to make me feel better.

Last night I saw a killer band...Rocco Deluca and the Burden...at The Derby in Los Feliz. Having just looked up the website and reading that Kiefer Sutherland is heavily involved with them, it now makes sense why he was standing next to me the whole time at the show. I'm so oblivious...my man had to point it out. He's a short guy...only has a couple inches on me. he seemed like a pretty cool dude...a few tattoos that I saw. Oddly enough, all I kept thinking about was his role in Eye for an Eye. Psycho scary twisted movie, I know, but he was such a good bad guy.

Anyway...I'm going to go die now after my head explodes from pain.

    Yo! Rocco. Good Stuff.

Did you forget that I blasted Swing Low and Bus Ride for you last time you were out here? What IS L.A. doing to your memory? ;o)

nahh...it's not dying, it's in metamorphisis as jill and her neato homeboy create stories for us. now she's just gotta tell some of 'dem stories.

one such story would involve the visit of an out of town unnamed friend (who despite appearances, is actually a dork). this friend thought that venice beach was cool and all, but was most impressed by the fact that the route from the hotel to the beach passed the electronic arts building. now THAT'S a good story!
