Only In LA...

...can you pay someone off with $200 to get out of a fender bender without any insurance companies being involved. Actually, not even a fender bender...just a teeny tiny paint scratch that can be easily buffed out.

Oh...and $130 can get you a haircut (no color) here. Sheesh! Although they say the likes of Charlize Theron, Goldie Hawn, and Nicole Kidman are regulars, so I'm guessing it'll be worth the extra dough.

God, how I miss Kristin Smith-Russell at Fruition in Nashville. If you need a good hair chick, she is absolutely fabulous. And so are her prices. The best in Nashville, actually.

    Good luck with the haircut. Don't get 10,000 bangs or a triangle head. I know you know that but in L.A. everyone can SAY they've worked on Charlize and really it's a scary woman with bad hair named Charlize. :o)

    "A friend" very slightly backed his car into another at a stop sign (because someone was about to run us over). Just nicked the paint a teeny bit, the people didn't speak English well, but they could get out that they wanted money only. So they took him for all he had. Aholes.

    I was hit buy a guy once who tried everything to leave the scene. I had friends with me and we blocked him on the sidewalk to prevent him from running off. He had no license with him and was driving his girlfriend's car so it was uninsured. The police were happy we kept him at the scene, and so was my insurance company.

    After the impact, my Venezuelan friend in the car with me said, "What do we do now? In Venezuela we just exchange money and go home."
