Leaf Blowers
Why, in God's name, do people think leaf blowers serve any productive purpose whatsoever?
Let's blow leaves off the sidewalk, onto the grass next to the sidewalk, so that the next time the wind blows (in my case, the Santa Ana Winds), the leaves blow right back to the same place they originally were. The sidewalk.

Seriously, people...what happened to the good ol' days of raking up the leaves into a nice, big fluffy pile and then jumping in them before bagging them up in trash bags for the garbage man to take away? You know, actually getting rid of the leaves rather than just blowing them around. I've never seen such a waste of energy, gas, money, and TIME...

So put the leaf blowers away and go buy yourself a rake. You'll burn more calories that way anyway...and maybe save the little bit of the diminishing ozone layer that's left, too.

My favorite is when people blow the leaves off the yard and/or sidewalk and onto the road. It's as if they'll magically disappear there.
I'm surprised leaf blowers haven't been banned in CA yet.
