Out With the Old

In With the New.

As much as I despise the actual process of moving, it actually brings forth quite a nice beginning. A shiny, clean start. New furniture arrangements, fresh colors in your decor...to me, it's all fun and games. But the best part of all is the process of unghettofication. Getting rid of all the old clothes, rusty soap dispensers, burnt down candles, crappy CD's, non-Reveal lightbulbs (I'm obsessed, they make ALL the difference)...the list goes on.

I used to be the girl where, in order to justify getting something new, I'd get rid of the something old that the new was replacing. These days I just get rid of the old because I'm starting to collect a heap of things...and I consider myself to be a minimalist.

I love the feeling of getting rid of stuff/being organized so much that my friends have been known to invite me over for "throwing away parties". On more than one occasion, we filled up a dumpster or two. Why keep a bunch of crap around that you're never going to use? Or stuff that is in actuality, quite ghetto, but you just don't notice because you're so used to looking at the ghetto-ness. You know what I'm talking about.

So not only did the move go smooth, but the unghettofication is going even smoother. The apartment is posh and my mind is at rest.

Did I mention the She Said What?!? New Years' Party that's going to be happening in good ol' Nashvegas with myself AND my man? No? Consider it mentioned now.
