Guaranteed To Get You Schlocked

I'm borrowing this from one of my fellow rockers, Betty. She came up with this tasty holiday beverage and evidently it was one of the highlights of the party. So, without further adieu, here is the slighty revamped secret (or not so much) recipe to the Cranberry-Orange Sangria.
  • 2 bottles of red wine
  • 1 cup brandy
  • 1/2 cup cranberry juice
  • 1/2 seltzer water
  • a bunch of cinnamon sticks
  • 2 cups raw cranberries

1. Take one sliced orange (not the pithy-edges of the orange, but the inside slices) and the cinnamon sticks and put them into a large pitcher.
2. Using a wooden spoon, moosh the oranges with the cinnamon to get all the juices out.
3. Fill the rest of the pitcher with all the liquids.
4. Chop up about 3 oranges and quarter each slice. Add orange slices to the pitcher.
5. Add about two cups of cranberries to the pitcher.
6. Let sangria sit at least an hour, no more than 6 hours.

According to Ms. Rocker, this will serve quite a big bunch. If you're looking to make it for four people or so, cut the recipe in half.

Now...go make some yummy sangria for all and have yourself a crunken time.
