The Open Road

I didn't think it could happen in these parts, but I managed to escape the concrete walls of Los Angeles for the weekend. Just a mere three and a half hour drive through the mountains and I was in the sixth biggest California city. Good ol' Fresno. I will say that it's not the most exciting city, but the shopping was exquisite. And if you've got the shopping down and you're with your very favorite person ever, then what more could you ask for?

I needed a little trip. My CAR needed a little trip. This city can suck you in within minutes. It's good to get out and smell the fresh, mountain air. And don't go thinking that since I'm finally living in LA that I don't need road trips. I need them more than ever. And I miss them.

So...if you live within four or five hours of LA and you want a houseguest, let me know. I need a free place to say. And an open road to drive.
