Red Wine & Indochine

So I broke down and finally tried Vietnamese food last night. I discovered that, not only could it be my new favorite ethnic food (beating out even Thai) (for now), but it also goes quite nicely with red, red wine. Pinot, to be more specifically. Mmmmm.

Indochine Vien is the one of the many hip, new hangs popping up in the Atwater Village/Silver Lake area. The atmosphere is just right, the menu prices are unbelievably low for what you get, and the food is INCREDIBLE. As if all that isn't enough, it's BYOB and they don't have a corking fee. Woo!

I can't take credit for discovering this hidden little treasure. It was this pretty little lady who introduced me. And now I feel an obsession coming on. The spring rolls were...PERFECT.

For dessert, another bottle of wine awaited and hours of intelligent conversation and hilarity with kitties. What more could a girl ask for on a cold, dark Thursday night?
