I Hate TimeWarner Cable

And all other cable companies out there. TimeWarner, Comcast, Adelphia, whatever.

They're a damn monopoly and they cater to no one but themselves.

For example, my internet has been down for over two weeks now. I called them (two weeks ago) to report it and the soonest they could have someone out was ten days later. TEN DAYS!! However, they had to call and confirm. I never heard a word so I called them on Monday (the day they were supposed to come) and they told me that someone had already been there and I wasn't so they left.

Hello, CORPORATE AMERICA! SOME OF US DO WORK!!!

So...I set up another appointment for today. The time window was 9a to 12p. I told them I needed a call 30 minutes in advance, as I had a job to do and I couldn't just get up and run out whenever I wanted. They told me that wasn't possible, that I could only get a 20 minute advance call and that if I missed the call I was out of luck.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't I the one paying them money so that my sh*t works?!?

At any rate, I've got 10 minutes left in my window and I haven't heard a peep from them. I even called to see if they could contact the guy and give me an ETA on when he'd be there. I was told that no, they can't, and I just need to answer the call when it comes.

Again, I HAVE A JOB. I HAVE MEETINGS. I AM A WORKING AMERICAN.

So here I sit...waiting...waiting...waiting...

I hate you TimeWarner. May you burn in hell.

to add to that...it's not like they're giving the service away, either.

as soon as hockey season's over, we're dumping most of our cable to get back into "sensible budget land."

    jackals, all of 'em.

The thing that sucks even more, is that I don't even want cable. I need the internet and that is all, yet they tell me I can't have the internet without cable.

    Bastids.
