Met Him At The Roosevelt

So after the boyfriend's band played a sold out show at The Roosevelt Hotel's Cinegrill, I was schlepping around the back halls on my way to Tropicana and happened to bump into Ben Harper. After having just seen him play a benefit show earlier in the week (along with Extreme and Alice in Chains), it was ironic to run into him once again in such a casual affair. After chatting for the ol' Ben-ster for a while, we continued on our way. He's a super nice dude.

Once I reached The Tropicana Bar, I had reached my zen for the evening. A frequent hangout of Marilyn Monroe, the bar is around the courtyard pool of the hotel. An absolutely gorgeous setting. The company was good, the vodkas were flowing and before I knew it, we were being told to leave as it was closing time.

It was another one of those Hollywood Nights.

OHMYGOSH! You got to see the new AIC live? How was it?

I was obsessed with them... still kinda am. Did you get to meet them too? LOVE LOVE LOVE Sean Kinney and Jerry Cantrell!!!!!!! EE! Lucky girl you.

Newton: No, Layne did die, they didn't officially break up, but there's a new lead guy that's supposed to be really awesome.

Soundgarden's probably never going to get back together - Chris Cornell's solo career's taking off nicely for him.

Oh...and I forgot to mention that Cypress Hill did a little ditty, as well. Something about being insane...

Yes, the new frontman for Alice is awesome. And yes, we ran into Jerry Cantrall on more than one occassion.

I saw Chris Cornell at Target...does that count?
