I am a total indie music loser. I know about four of the artists listed here. Two only because I actually KNOW them, know them, and the others because Jill has either given me the cd or talked about them on this site. Of course, tho, I am familiar with Loretta Lynn.

I was going to submit a list myself, but I don't think I can keep up with the talented open ears here. Although I will include some Sir Mix-a-lot if it strikes your fancy. Yeah, baby.

Actually only about half of those are indie, believe it or not.

It's just new stuff. I'm sure you'll be seeing some of them once Target's Launch Artists section catches on.

c'mon, jag! be a man about it. get me a list. but put it on my blog, not jill's. it's gonna be hard enough keeping up with everything as it is...

If I wasn't so busy slaving away at work and running errands all over town, I'd love to contribute. Maybe I'll have time to whip up something this evening. (You'll see some Missy Higgins, Cold Play, Black Eyed Peas, Gorillaz, Antigone Rising, Beck, and Anna Nalick on my list)

Newton, I don't have a list :( I can't think of 20 songs that won't sound lame all together. But I was going to include The Postal Service, a little bit of Wilco, maybe some Erykah Badu, some Blackalicious (cos it's on repeat all right now) and perhaps, just perhaps, Clem Snide... Tenacious D...

maybe i should clarify...the playlist doesn't have to be GOOD. i just have to like it. you could put 20 soundclips from napolean dynamite on it and it'd be the best playlist ever! gosh!

seriously, don't do the napolean thing. i've already got, like, infinity of them at home, and they're only funny on one cd for the first 50 times you listen to them.
