No Green Day Today
BUMMER. Billie Joe is sick and the Green Day concert at Gaylord Entertainment Center has been postponed indefinitely. Julie was going to take me to the show for my birthday and with all the traveling I'll be doing there's no telling if I'll be in town when they reschedule.I'm not a big fan of arena concerts...but the reviews on this one have been killer. And American Idiot is their best record yet. Dammit. I was so ready for some punk rock tonight.

i don't know about this one. i read in my most recent rolling stone (or one of my most recent, they tend to stack up on me.) that their initial label, lookout!, has had to cut their staff down from 9 to 3 because green day pulled their back catalog from the label due to a royalty dispute.
trust me, i'm all for getting paid, but you'd think their punk ethos would spur them to take the high road and work something out, keep the label going and all.

We're supposedly the only market that tour hasn't sold out in.
But yeah I heard from even non-Green Day fans that their show is killer.
