Cosmos & Comedy

Late Last Thursday marked my first time ever at a stand-up comedy club. It's about time, right? I figured if I was going to go, it was going to be in style. So, armed with my black stilletos and these two beauties, it was off to the The Improv we went. Known as one of Hollywood's imfamous comedy clubs, The Improv is located on Melrose just a few blocks from my first LA apartment.

Before we even made it into the door, we caught a server's eye and ended up with a reserved table...the best in the house. The lineup included talent from HBO, Letterman, and The Tonight Show, among others. It was absolutely hilarious. There were about eight to ten acts and only one of them was not funny (he thought that making stupid noises was going to entertain me...stupid drunk).

The girls and I laughed for two hours straight...which only made our tasty Cosmopolitans more dee-lish. Speaking of, it had been so long since I had had a girls night out that I forgot about the power of being a lady. Turns out we got (all of) our drinks for free. Ahhhhh...it's so refreshing to know that doing nothing at all will still get the VIP treatment flowing. And guys, you can't complain...we tip very, very well.
