Busy Binge Weekend
Thursday: Drinks and music. Peter Bjorn & John at The Roxy to be specific. Best show I've seen in a year.
Friday: Martinis and Le Meridien. One of my fellow Nashville rockstars came in town for a night. And even though I was a zombie from above mentioned concert, did I let him down? Absolutely not.
Saturday: Martinis and Italian. Then a Harley photo shoot. And then more martinis. Pomegranite ones. Mmmmm.
Sunday: Homemade chili, the best rotelle ever, Diet Rite (as my liver was about to stop functioning) and the Superbowl (which wasn't exactly a great game). All chillin' with my two boys in our jammies.

Like It's 1999
That's how hard I partied on Saturday night. Or maybe like it was more like 2005.
We met our Harley family at Il Capriccio, an Italian restaurant in Los Feliz. After devouring several glasses of wine and a very garlicky pasta dish...ohhhh it was good...we headed across the street to The Dresden. Yep...just a hop, skip and a stumble. Literally.

Marty & Elayne circa a long, long time ago.
From there we turned it up a few notches. I with the vodka and my guy with the whiskey. Several members of our little soiree' decided to get up a karaoke a bit with Marty and Elayne. Dancing to the old swing tunes the drinks were flowing and the night was grooving away. At one point, we even got to hit The Office. It was the first time in too long that I closed a bar down. And man, it felt good. I must bring back my habit of it. After all, I used to be pro.

Cosmos & Comedy
Late Last Thursday marked my first time ever at a stand-up comedy club. It's about time, right? I figured if I was going to go, it was going to be in style. So, armed with my black stilletos and these two beauties, it was off to the The Improv we went. Known as one of Hollywood's imfamous comedy clubs, The Improv is located on Melrose just a few blocks from my first LA apartment.
Before we even made it into the door, we caught a server's eye and ended up with a reserved table...the best in the house. The lineup included talent from HBO, Letterman, and The Tonight Show, among others. It was absolutely hilarious. There were about eight to ten acts and only one of them was not funny (he thought that making stupid noises was going to entertain me...stupid drunk).
The girls and I laughed for two hours straight...which only made our tasty Cosmopolitans more dee-lish. Speaking of, it had been so long since I had had a girls night out that I forgot about the power of being a lady. Turns out we got (all of) our drinks for free. Ahhhhh...it's so refreshing to know that doing nothing at all will still get the VIP treatment flowing. And guys, you can't complain...we tip very, very well.
